I mean, they probably had to contact multiple companies to make the new risers. They probably got them back and realized one was different, but they all solved the issue. They figured it'd be better to get fixes out to customers than make sure they were all homogeneous. Im not excusing them, but I understand. This wasn't an act of malice, just one of incompetence. Id probably give them the benefit of the doubt actually, but their initial reaction to all this makes that impossible. They didn't handle it right in the beginning, and that ended up snowballing and making everything worse. Bad management, poor leadership. Left hand did not know what the right was doing.
