  3. As an American I can barely comprehend being scared to answer a question on the street. My country is not perfect but man, I am blessed to live here compared to Belarus or Russia.

I played world of warcraft with a russian from archangelsk (sp?) for about 4-5 years. he spoke great english because his parents had good jobs and put him in a school that taught it. he was one of the most kind, caring people Ive ever interacted with. I dont know what my point is really, except that you cant judge a nation on its government.

  7. Theres only so much an individual can do before they end up in prison. You need the entire country to rebel at once and organizing such a thing is VERY difficult in authoritarian countries. Can't always blame the people so easily.

  8. I think my opinion if I were Russian would be similar to a lot of these people. I wouldnt like anything about it, but Id still go out of a feeling of loyalty to where I was born. Stupid or not, I think thats a very common reaction for most people.

  29. Why cant Russia understand that countries want to join NATO out of fear of Russia? They dont want to attack Russia, they're scared they'll be attacked themselves!! There's nothing offensive in nature about it. Russia drove them to this decision. The one guy said its beneficial to Finland - only in defense. If it was so beneficial to Finland they'd have joined a long time ago right?

  37.  @Ignash  Do I really have to tell you that no, not in all cases? Do you think Chinese have a say in if they wish their govt to be democratic or not? Do you think Russians can vote out Putin? Hell, even the US elections have been argued to be corrupt as of late.

  40. Americans cant even find Russia of all countries on a map lol. Classic case of "we don't even think about you". Not trying to be rude at all either. We literally don't think about Russia really, even with everything going on. Americans have their own problems. I dont care what any conspiracy theorists say, Americans dont care about Russia. The only reason we're involved with them at all is Russia invaded their neighbor. Even then most Americans think its none of our business. We dont need Russian gas, we dont need their fuel, we simply don't need them, or fortunately/unfortunately care about them. Oddly though, I kind of respect their natiolism. Im sure a ton of it comes from education like the video points out, but I still think its kind of admirable if not oblivious.
