@davidcui4395 Many EU countries also banned Huawei at the request of the USA. They are choked by the USA too when it comes to the decision regarding Huawei ? No. They are just "yes master!" countries to the USA.

@lmyunxlee2005 Xiaomi just announced they independently designed 3nm chips for its phone CPU not make 3nm. Xiaomi has long been a customer of Qualcomm for its phone CPUs (they are designed by Qualcomm but manufactured by TSMC, Qualcomm can't make chips either), as Xiaomi now designs its own CPUs, it may kick away Qualcomm, then it can ask TSMC to manufacture them (Xiaomi is currently not banned for business with TSMC by the US yet, but maybe the US will do it soon after the news of Xiaomi's newly gained capabilities).

if China develops the capabilities to make EUV, the US and EU will ban the Chinese EUV right away at the execuses of national security threats and monitoring backdoors or something like that, look at how they ban Huawei jointly. They will also hype up the media to spread misinformation about Chinese products to influence/manipulate the public opinions in the Global South at the same time (The Pentagon had already done so in its public opinion operatives on attacking/fabricating lies on Chinese vaccines via social media and traditional media in the Philippines, Kazakhstan and the Middle East in 2021-2023). Don't underestimate how lowlife and dirty-tricked they can be under the surface.

the US may sanction Xiaomi soon as Xiaomi now designs its own 3nm phone CPUs which enables them to kick away Qualcomm and directly sends the contract to Taiwan's TSMC for manufacturing the CPU chips. Xiaomi has long been a customer of US's Qualcomm who designs phone CPUs and asks TSMC to manufacture them before selling them to Xiaomi and other phone brands. Recently the news of Xiaomi gaining the capabilities to design its own 3nm CPU came about, which would probably prompt the US to sanction Xiaomi as well.

ASML is now hiking prices of their products as there are no competition at all, they are in monopoly and can charge whatever hefty prices they want. If China can make the same produts, semiconductors and therefore electronic devices will become much more affordable to everyone.
