@truth4tufftimes705 Many places have had a lot of success with gun buy back programs. Others with gun safety training. Its not all about taking away guns. Weapons of war that civilians have no business with in a civilized society, yes... A lot need other things. Annual proficiency and safety exams. The police and the military have to take them every year. Why shouldn't we? More expensive ammo. Closing the Gun Show loophole. Better background checks. Just to name a few.

@asifasad4880 My brother is army. He did 2 tours in Afghanistan. They weren't shooting for nothing. However.... We should not of been there in the first place. I never supported that.... At the same time... I'm not about to use those deaths as a deflection method. It's disrespectful, and neither should you.

@austin2890 Yeah how about you steer away from trying to tell me about how I would feel about my brother and only siblings death. K? Because you have no clue what military families go throw when their loved ones are in harm's way half way across the the world for months on end. I would be heartbroken. It would bother me that is happened that way. Yes... Though... Ask any combat killed soldiers family member. There is absolutely no good way for that to happen. There is no way they could have died that it would have made it okay. Now, besides that, after I calm down and stop grieving a little bit I would also not just consider the bias interpretation that you just gave. Did the Biden Administration and their generals screw up the exit? Absolutely. I'm a military brat. There is a reason the saying is, first and last out. ... On the other hand... No one else balled up enough to do it before him. We should have been out of Afghanistan forever ago. They were always going to move in and take it back right as we left. That's why no one else pulled out before now. They didn't want the bad press. It was either that or permanent occupation. So hopefully I would have thought about all the factors in that and not just to bias interpretation of it, like you just gave.

@JohnDoe-tx8eu yeah... Your leaving out a few things... But mostly just 2 little words with a lot of verifiable history behind them. "Well regulated". The militias formed in American when we were fighting the reevaluating war against the British. Eventually being taken under the wing of the army. Who supplied them, fed them and fought with them. After we won and the founding fathers started putting together our bill of rights and constitution, there was a bit of conflict over the members of the militia did not want to give up their guns. Understandably they felt justified in keeping them, sense they used them to help free America. Except many, including the founding fathers where not wild about the idea of untrained civilians having them all over. So they split the baby. They allowed the militia members to keep their guns and once again took them under the army wing, by requiring them to be regulated. That is how the term "Well regulated militia" came about.

@milehighgimpster Statistics show, neither would a gun. If they do not already have a gun and have developed the skill needed to use it in that type of situation, she is just as likely to shoot herself or one of her kids. She needs to get herself to the police station, a shelter or out of town for a few days.

Even if that means using the Reps dirty tricks against them for the greater good, at times.... But... On gun control... Dems have been screaming for that and acting on that for YEARS. Ya know who always stops all that legislation? The Republicans because they're bought by the gun lobby. So spare me your BS deflection. We would have had reasonable gun regulation by now Nationwide if Republicans would shut up and get out of the way.
