@conservative6759 Very orthodox Ashkenazim can be like that. Us less observant Jews are more welcoming.

Jesus was born in Judea. The Romans renamed it Palestina a few centuries after his death.

@AliAlo-pc5ud Yiddish is mostly German with lots of Hebrew mixed in and written in Hebrew script. Ladino is the same but with Spanish. Hebrew was never lost - it was used only for religious purposes for close to 2000 years, but educated Jews often knew it. It was revived as a daily spoken language in the early 20th c. You must mean Yemenite Jews. Their pronunciation is considered closest to ancient spoken Hebrew.

@larryc1616 it's still spoken by a few groups whose ancestors were the first Christians.

Most Israeli Jews came from surrounding Arab countries like Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, and Algeria. They look as Arab as you want, Mr Racist. So do some European Jews. But we are all the real Jews. We all celebrate the same holidays and says the same prayers and reads the same Torah passages on the same days. And have the same law. I've seen photos of a few Palestinians with blue eyes and blonde hair.

most Israeli Jews are mizrachi, doing better than when they were persecuted in Arab countries, and they would be surprised to see your comment.

We're up to providing the world with useful commandments to live by, the idea of the weekend, great medical science, and other civilizational assets.

@Sgr667 was never believed in the first place by anyone but obsessive antisemites.

Every Jew in the world - Ashkenazi or Sephardi or Mizrachi - observes the same holidays and says the same prayers and reads the same Torah passages and keeps the same laws (if they are that orthodox) on the same days. I could walk into any synagogue in the world on any given day and know what the service would be. Since most have married within the community for 2000 years, genetically most trace back to Israel. That's an ethnic group.

16 million Jews say you're full of crap, and we're the experts.

@CR-ph4ww excellent - thank you

no they just fled Roman ethnic cleansing of Judea up into Europe. Probably most were enslaved by the Romans and several generations later moved farther into Europe.
