G N I would share your pov if it actually was that simplistic, which it isn't. I hate identity politics but Hamilton uses them pretty sparingly considering how much it could. I think it draws in people who would otherwise be alienated and gets them interested in how amazing our founding was. As a musical it is incredibly complex. The libretto, dancing, lighting and set are lightyears beyond most musicals, and it handles an amazing amount of historical detail and character development within that format. I'm not into rap so I don't judge the libretto in those terms - I just think the word play is lots of fun. I've read 5 bios of Hamilton and was a fan of him before Miranda's rap was on YouTube. Given how complicated the man's life was, the historical accuracy is also impressive within the constraints of a 3-hr stage production. i could name all the parts that are not accurate and I forgive most of them. Hamilton really needs his own mini-series like John Adams. But at least 8 episodes to get in his whole life story.

@RodMartinJr I always tell "progressives" they are reactionary, since they want to return to the bad ideas of the 19th and 20th c.

the 4th estate is the huge regulatory state that unconstitutionally makes law although unelected. Congress has the purse and could cut it down but all have special interests. Nearly all regulatory bureaucrats vote Democrat because that's the party that wants to expand their numbers and influence. They undermine anyone who wants to reduce them, Trump most of all.
