@randomlobster5566 No, these two tactics are not similar.
Emma did refute his comments. You just didn't understand how... By stating the things I quoted, she is trying to get the caller to think about what she is saying and help him find people with similar views.
The way he describes his vision of US healthcare seems quite similar to what other progressives have proposed. Therefore he should further look into that.
Same thing for the second quote. The way he describes his views of gender (or rather s_x) makes it sound as if he doesn't view himself as the stereotypical 20th century manly man and he doesn't view it as a bad thing (which I absolutely agree with; it's not a bad thing for people to not all be the same, despite them having a common gender, age, background or whatever. We're beings, not objects. There is no need for us to be put or put others into boxes).
The people who dismiss feminists and their arguments are clearly misogynistic and can't prove their own claims. They pull stuff out of statistics, that isn't even there, because otherwise they would prove themselves wrong. This is why, by now, they just make up non-factual statistics on their own. There is no need to debate these clowns. All we need to do is stop feeding into their attention-wh__ing needs. They'll go away eventually.
(I say "people", because unfortunately there are also lots of women in conservative parts of various countries, not just the US, that feed into this very narrative and have internalized it, unfortunately.)

@GF-hg7op I have already debunked EVERYTHING you say in your first paragraph, which is complete BS.
And since you clearly didn't read what I wrote, I won't repeat myself. If you did read what I wrote, you obviously still don't understand it.
"you can blame your government": Jesus Christ, @Monkey D.Luffy! You are brainwashed through and through. If it wasn't for government, we'd all have starved a long time ago. Corporations don't give a f**k about people. They only care about profit.
Just look at Scandinavian people and their countries. They have the strongest government in all of the world, that takes care of it's citizens and provides great education, healthcare, infrastructure and many more things for them with the taxes the people pay, all while keeping Corporations in check and punishing them hard for crimes against their people.
"make things more expensive instead of cheaper over time": That's literally what corporations do, not governments, lmfao. You can even find intervies on YouTube from CEOs saying that if the government didn't constantly intervene, the corporation would price gauge their products, such as drugs, even more.

@cp3190 Way to completely pull stats out of your @$$<, @JAM.
80% of millionaires self-made? Lmfao, no. They inherited their wealth from their forefathers.
"The game is rigged for those with brains": Lmao, no. It's rigged for those with a good upper middle class wealth and the people above. The US is no meritocracy.
"No wonder people from other countries ... take your job": Oh, I hope they can take my old job, because I left the country. xD
Love me some cheap healthcare, great education, high quality infrastructure, not a single cent of debt due to student loans (thank you, free college), strong worker unions, the cheapest medicine possible, and tons of basic human rights that are considered priviledges for the rich in the US.
Also, the people who come to the US are from war-torn countries with dictators, economical crisies and no human rights. They come to the US, because of the propaganda on how every men there is equal and free, and life is awesome. What they don't realize is that minorities and non-english speakers are not welcome by the right wing of the country. Pocs fall far more often victim to the unjust system of cops and the (in-)"justice system".
These things and the ones i mentioned, that are far better in Europe, are all things that they'll only find out as soon as they are there.

Since the entire comment section is already full of critique towards Nick Fuentes, which I mostly agree with, I won't get into further details there. Instead I'd like to focus on Sydney Watson, the woman he is talking to. She openly identifies as an anti-feminist and a men's rights activist or masculinist (person who thinks that men are actually the oppressed group) and she has spend the majority of her YouTube carreer talking bad about women. Notice the look she gives Fuentes whenever HE talks bad about women, specifically his experience with her. Technically this is nothing new as she has said those things before. However she seems to have forgotten that she is a woman herself. Kinda like Candace Owens and Jesse Lee Peterson talk bad about black folks despite being black themselves. I'm pointing this out, because to me it's just funny to see Sydney realizing that despite her being a pick-me girl for incels, red-pillers, black-pillers, MGTOWs, MRAs and what not, they still hate her no matter what for the sole reason that she is still a woman, like every other woman, and has no place and no voice in the world view of those extremists.

@xq8152 @xq8152 : You can't blame you choosing to participate in it on anyone other than yourself. Nowadays, we don't have that choice anymore. Adds are thrown at us whether we want to or not, they are the first 3 (or more) results on every search engine page, they pop up in videos, they cover entire news pages. Additionally, as many studies have shown, the longer you are on social media platforms, the more right wing / hate speech / manosphere / misogynistic / racists content will be shown to you. The problem is how those social media platforms are intentionally (!) programmed to extract as much value from us as possible. Also, we could actually access all of the content we wanted, without any geo-blocking, no vpns necessary.
None of those things were the case in the 80s and 90s. I know, because I've been there too. I've actually lived through it.
A lot has changed, and a lot of it for the worse.

"Capitalism is a result of market democracy": Lmfao, is it April fools day 2022, yet?
Market democracy, my butt-cheeks. When have average people ever been part of "market demoocracy" under capitalism? Answer: Never, because that would be socialsim.
You know why? Because average people sell their labor to employers for an exchange of a little capital, called wage. They are not a business like the one that the elite and the owner class have.
"equitable trade of goods and more equitable trade of labor": Those are socialis concepts as the require, by definition, an equal playing field for both the employer and the employee. However, under capitalism, which is by definition a hierarchy, there is no such thing. If employees refuse to work (meaning that they won't get paid), because they disagree with the pay or working conditions, they will inevitably perish, simply because everything from housing to food and water, costs money. You cannot even exist without being forced to pay some form of taxes. The only way of getting money is to become a wage sl@ve for any company, because only elitists have money, which they stole from their employees, who do all of the work. Not-working is not an option for the working class.

@EvolutionIsRealAndGodIsFiction "It’s been that way since Walmart": Nah, not yet. Walmart wasn't directly involved in gov't, but Elon (Tesla, SpaceX, ..), Peter Thiel (PayPal, Palantir, ...), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook, Metaverse), and many others are involved directly with lawmakers and the POTUS admin. Most of the biggest US business owners are even in the admin themselves.

@givepeaceachance940 "I've got a bridge to sell you": Maybe you should sell that one to Russians, because their invasion is failing hard. Lmfao.
"guess why energy is going up in Europe? Russia.": Wrong. It was always inevitable, because both gas (and oil) are limited resources that are going to be drained up eventually. Europe, especially Germany, failed to invest in other alternative energy sources like wind, solar and water. Some of Europeans get by with coal or nuclear technologies.
"why are grain prices going up? Ukrainian grain isn't being exported anymore.": Correlation doesn't equal causation. Ukrainians are obviously busy fighting a war (otherwise we wouldn't even be talking about this), but that isn't tied to prices going up for the past 40 years. Again, the economy, driven by powerful elitist in blackrock, private banks and private corporations, has untied our wages from inflation. That's why everything has become more expensive *percentage wise*, long before the war in Ukraine and the Russian invasions in surrounding territory like crimea in the 2010s.
"Inflation is being driven by oil prices": Again. Who sells the oil to people? It's private corporatation. It is their decision alone to use the war as an excuse to drive profit. Have you not been alive in the past 45 years? People like me who have been, have heard the same excuses over and over again. Do some research into how capitalism really functions and why private corporations, who have a monopoly in their industry, pricegoug the sh!te out of working class people. Why do you thinkg that meds like Insulin cost 10 times more than they do in other countries?
1
-
"you should want to stop the war, not prolong it": That's what we are doing by giving the necessary resources to Ukrainians so they can fight the war crime that is happening to them. Seems like the US should care about that, because in case the Russians defeat Ukraine NATO will be next and you'd inevitably be involved in the war. Also, if American people are are sick of spending money overseas, there is a simple solution to all of your problems: Get rid of your 900+ military bases around the world and get out of NATO.
Guess what: The US gov't will never do it, because they are bought up by private corps all the way up to POTUS and together they are profiting from it. You, as an American citizen living (!) in the US, should focus on your own problems, get rid of citizens united and not be an international hypocrit, since nobody profits more off of global invasion and overthrowing foreign gov'ts than US citizens who get cheap oil and gas, as well as lithium and other resources from it at a much cheaper price than even the inhabitants of the countries you abuse.
Ukraine is at war, because Putin thinks they want to get closer to the US, their main cold war enemy. These are the ways you could save txpayer money while at the same time deescalatiing tensions.
