@alabamaman5994 @Alabummer man : Isn't it sad that facts always seem to get in your way, lol. Here you go: "This summer alone, 91% of the Great Barrier Reef was affected by coral bleaching because of one such heatwave near Australia. Bleached corals can recover depending on the severity of the damage, but they do not survive recurring heatwaves."
13
And this: "Based on the world’s most extensive time series data on reef condition (2,258 surveys of 214 reefs over 1985–2012), we show a major decline in coral cover from 28.0% to 13.8% (0.53% y−1), a loss of 50.7% of initial coral cover." @ the internets favorite right wing liar: Alabama man

And this: "The great barrier reef has experienced five mass bleaching events since 1998, as higher than average water temperatures force coral to expel the algae that provide them with nutrients and color."

@soulknife20 @soulknife: Thanks, but I know. :) I'm not doing it for him, he is too far gone already. I'm doing it, so that other less informed, yet not too far gone people can see the truth for themselves.

@alabamaman5994 Here you go again, @Alabummer . "One recent study estimated that climate change was to blame for 37 percent of heat-related deaths over the past three decades. In 2021, Daniel Bressler, a PhD student at Columbia University in New York, estimated that every additional 4,400 metric tons of carbon dioxide emitted will cause one heat-related death later this century. He called this number the “mortality cost of carbon.”"

@alabamaman5994 "it's literally true": If your claims were true, why can't you prove them?

He should pin your comment. Most people don't know about this.

@ajedelma : Not true at all. As soon as art is sold, it is a part of capitalism. Don't get me wrong: I know that artists need money to survive as well. HOWEVER, if we had UBI (which we would have under socialism) instead, there would not be a need for workers to give themselves over to the gross, exploitative system called capitalism, that we have in place right now. The problem still remains: Most people tolerate capitalism, because they believe its lie about everyone being able to become rich even when starting from nothing.

@alabamaman5994 "More people died from climate change in 1890 than in 2022.": Lmfao, rofl.. xDxD Why are you so busy trying to prove you're the dumbest (barely) human being alive? Back then people we're dying because there weren't enough worker's rights and unions. Also, children were allowed to work back then. Climate change wasn't even a thing back then, because the industrial revolutions was still going on. The worst effects of climate change came with the oil industry and big corporations.

@barbiquearea "is art what's causing climate change?": Lmao, is that the best gotcha you've got? The point is that in this world, where most people are blinded by money and fame, insignificant things like money, art from the past, history and what not matter more than the present and the current issues we are facing. Guess what. If we continue like this, there won't be much viewing of art going on in the future. The generations after Gen X are already deeply effed. Climate change, multiple financal recessions and even depressions happening every 7-12 years, and many others like stup!d people continuing to hold on to the regressive systems like capitalism, while our corporate overlords ruin everything that doesn't already belong to them.
