Sorry, @Sam Seder, but you are dead wrong on this one. Russia started an illegal, offensive war against a non-threatening country. How is this even debatable in the slightest? Why are most lefties turning into bra!ndead, empty shells of themselves all of a sudden whenever it comes to this issue? What is happening to people like Kyle Kulinsky (the guy from Secular Talk) and Noam Chomsky (arguably one of the most important and wise minds from the last (20th) Century - no offense - and certainly the most valuable one when it comes to progress in linguistics and theoretical computer science)?

@andreashofmann4556 "Sam never "debated" the thing you are saying": Learn what words mean, before you write. You used debated as a verb, I used it as an adjective ("debatable"). Those two are not the same and neither is their meaning. Try again once you understand how words work.

@givepeaceachance940 " a WAR that drives INFLATION": The war doesn't drive the inflation, private corporations who pricegouge for their own profit do. It is a choice made by companies, just like it was back in 2008, 2001, 1987 and even in the 1920ies.

Inflation doesn't affect me, because I know how to spend my money in a way where I do not even notice the difference between now and before. We've been stuck in Inflation since the 1980, where it was decided that income would not be tied to inflation. Ever since, people's wages have been stagnating. That was a political decision made by Reagan in the US and countless others in the rest of the world. The war in Ukraine effects me, because Ukrainian women, children, older men and young boys are fleeing to Europe and now we have to find ways to help those people, whose language we don't speek.

Russia.": Wrong. It was always inevitable, because both gas (and oil) are limited resources that are going to be drained up eventually. Europe, especially Germany, failed to invest in other alternative energy sources like wind, solar and water. Some of Europeans get by with coal or nuclear technologies. "why are grain prices going up? Ukrainian grain isn't being exported anymore.": Correlation doesn't equal causation. Ukrainians are obviously busy fighting a war (otherwise we wouldn't even be talking about this), but that isn't tied to prices going up for the past 40 years. Again, the economy, driven by powerful elitist in blackrock, private banks and private corporations, has untied our wages from inflation. That's why everything has become more expensive *percentage wise*, long before the war in Ukraine and the Russian invasions in surrounding territory like crimea in the 2010s. "Inflation is being driven by oil prices": Again. Who sells the oil to people? It's private corporatation. It is their decision alone to use the war as an excuse to drive profit. Have you not been alive in the past 45 years? People like me who have been, have heard the same excuses over and over again. Do some research into how capitalism really functions and why private corporations, who have a monopoly in their industry, pricegoug the sh!te out of working class people. Why do you thinkg that meds like Insulin cost 10 times more than they do in other countries?

"you should want to stop the war, not prolong it": That's what we are doing by giving the necessary resources to Ukrainians so they can fight the war crime that is happening to them. Seems like the US should care about that, because in case the Russians defeat Ukraine NATO will be next and you'd inevitably be involved in the war. Also, if American people are are sick of spending money overseas, there is a simple solution to all of your problems: Get rid of your 900+ military bases around the world and get out of NATO. Guess what: The US gov't will never do it, because they are bought up by private corps all the way up to POTUS and together they are profiting from it. You, as an American citizen living (!) in the US, should focus on your own problems, get rid of citizens united and not be an international hypocrit, since nobody profits more off of global invasion and overthrowing foreign gov'ts than US citizens who get cheap oil and gas, as well as lithium and other resources from it at a much cheaper price than even the inhabitants of the countries you abuse. Ukraine is at war, because Putin thinks they want to get closer to the US, their main cold war enemy. These are the ways you could save txpayer money while at the same time deescalatiing tensions.

Private corps deciding prices and therefore price gouging, because working class people's misery is their life blood. It has nothing to do with what is going on elsewhere in the world. Those are just excuses. I get that it continues as a chain reaction, and that further proves my point: Corealation != Causation. "I for one want this thing to end.": Again, I provided you with two options: Either help out by supporting the Ukrainians or get out entirely so Putin will not feel threatened by the US (in his mind the leader of the West) anymore.
