  1. Fellow teacher here: For starters we should force so many years of school onto people. Where I come from it takes 13 years to get a high school diploma, but most of the students there are already sick of school after 6-8 years (around middle school). Let's be honest: Most students aren't capable of even going to high school, let alone college, but all students are prepared for just that. This is a huge issue. We need more trades, and less literature and history. We should also have different schools for different trades, different sciences and so on.

  2. Most of the time those pockets aren't even pockets, they are just a pice of art crochet onto the pants for the looks of it. Meanwhile men's pants have so much space, you can fit entire iPads into the pockets.

  3. You forgot the most important part: We didn't have to, because we would just stay wherever we found water, food and shelter. Nowadays we can't just stay in another person's backyard just because they live closer to a store than we do. I'm not saying that there aren't some alternatives to the use of plastic, but plastic shouldn't be demonized and shunned by people. Plastic is actually necessary to store food and prevent bacteria and mold. Paper products won't stop those...

  6. I would have loved to be a librarian as well, but for some reason that degree is a lot more expensive than most other degrees, so I went into comp sci instead 😅👌

  8. Consumers can't stop most things. We cannot opt out of cell phones, food, water, rent, electiricity. Consumers can stop the rest, that falls under fun (concerts, movies, ...) or indoctrination (religion), sure. But unfortunately people aren't willing to stop that, because then most have nothing else to live for, because they don't know how to socialize and hold conversations for longer than 2 minutes.
