@jakeshota: Up until last century all leaders world wide had offspring that in theory they (should have) cared about and look at the mess were still in today: Every country is either at war or in economical decline. Your assumption is dead wrong.

This isn't a semantics issue for right wingers though. If you don't have bio offspring with half of your genetic code and physical and mental traits, you are not a bio parent. In some leading right wingers' minds, step-kids and otherwise adopted kids don't count, because in theory you did not raise them since birth. This is just an explanation, not my opinion.
