He won because of an ancient, anti-democratic institution that gave him and Bush the vicotry even though Hillary beat Trump and Al Gore beat Bush by the popular vote. And even if you ignore that, the vast majority of poeple didn't vote for Trump, because the vast majority of people don't vote at all and almost as many Dem voters as there are Republican voters voted for the Dem. Even if you combine those tow voter bases, they make up less than 70% of all the people who have voting rights. The US-democracy isn't representatvie at all and no matter which party wins elections, they rule as if they were backed by 100% of the population. The US uniparty is as bad as dictatorships elsewhere.
