Probably because fixing is always more expensive than buying new stuff. It's just one failure of cápitàli$m.

@bradatherton9369 "not always.": I love how you are trying to prove my wrong, but even you have to admit the truth. Thanks for proving me right. "Why the hyperbolic statement?": It's not hyperbolic at all. It's literally a feature of this system. Have you ever tried to buy replacement parts for Iphones? Check the prices. You'll see that a new phone is cheaper than the repair (don't forget the worker doing the repair, because you are legally not allowed to fix it yourself. If you fix it yourself you can be held accountable for a crime) "If you do then it’s obvious you’ve never fixed anything": Gosh, you know nothing about the military. You clearly think that fixing something means crocheting or some weak @ss sht. What was the biggest you ever fixed and how did you do it? Keep in mind that is has to be a machine / a technology, because that's what the military uses.

I'm also sick of the trillionaires and the families with quadrillions.

@bradatherton9369 "Including a $125 broken screen on an $1k Android": Lmfao, that does not compare to military equipment. "I guess I’ve been lying to myself": You have. I'm glad you are willing to admit it at least. That's the first step to getting better. "And yes, I have worked for the DoD, too." + "I’ve milked the value out of an engineering degree": Lol, of course you have... You got zero proof, but you have to keep telling yourself that, because otherwise people wouldn't even be paying attention to you. "But your hyperbolic statement is partially true.": Your education failed you if you can't understand what is wrong with this sentence of yours. My statement is true, therefore it cannot be hyperbolic. But nice try. I'm sure most folks will fall for it, because of how uneducated they are. Just like the elite want them to be. "things are designed to be fixed": Only if that's profitable for the rúling cláss (the cápítàlí$ts who create w@rs and conflicts everywhere for their personal gain). And because it's profitable for them and the shareholders, it sure ain't as cheap as buying new equipment.
