  4. Absolutely gross what is happening in Italy. The disproportional Rosatellum law helped all fascist parties, who represent no more than a quarter of Italian voters, govern like they won the majority of the vote.

  9. @William: Take it from someone who has lived all over the world and in many countries without monarchies: If there was no monarchy in the UK, the moneys wouldn't go to the average people, it would just end up back in the wallet of your politicians.Also, your monarchy is way cheaper than your politicians and outsiders pay big money for objects with royal family members on them. Entire industries profit from the monarchy, whereas none profit from politicians.

I've been all over Europe and there have been many times where I would have had to wait for about 9 months to get to a doctor and only pay between 30€ and 200€. Every time I needed anything sooner (from doctors to blood tests to anything more elaborate) you have to pay huge sums for it or wait even longer. Is it as bad as in the US? No. Is it still so bad that you could be dead by the time your appointment happens? Multiple times.

I'm an IT specialist who chose to work as a teacher for a semester, because there is and was a massive shortage in Italy (same as in other countries). The pay is just not worth it when you consider not only my college degree in IT, but generally the master degrees that you usually need in order to teach in Italy

  30.  @bhaashatepe5234  As a half-Italian I respect my country by making it better, chosing good politicians (not Meloni, not Salvini, not Berlusconi, not Di Maio, not Grillo, etc.), voting in all elections and getting involved in the community. So, @bhaasha tepe, stay out of our business and don't critizise the facts you can't disprove. Again: The entire right wing represents about a quarter of Italians, and therefore the Rosatellum law screws over 75% of Italian voters.

Of those, only 44% of voters voted for the right wing. Like I said before: It is the Rosatellum law of 2017 that gave the right wing the majority in the 2 chambers: the senate and the [chamber of] deputies.

  36.  @dipsuny  Let's be honest: The 26% that her party got is not evena majority. In Italy there is a new law since 2017 called Rosatellum. It basically allows the biggest minority party (if there is no clear nummerical majority) to run the government as if it had won the majority.
