In that case you're literally denying her own statements. She gave an interview for France TV where she said that she wanted to carry on Mussulini's legacy. Are you really trying to argue that Mussolini, the father of fascism and merger of government and corporations in a state, was not a fascist?

It's not "bias" if Meloni herself admits to being a fascist. She's given interviews in italian, french, spanish and english where she talks about wanting to carry on Mussolini's legacy. Just pick any of those languages and see for yourself.

@mathisnotforthefaintofheart How about my paycheck? I'm an IT specialist who chose to work as a teacher for a semester, because there is and was a massive shortage in Italy (same as in other countries). The pay is just not worth it when you consider not only my college degree in IT, but generally the master degrees that you usually need in order to teach in Italy

He's 86 years old and science did all it could. What he needs now in order to look ypung is called sorcery.

@dipsuny Let's be honest: The 26% that her party got is not evena majority. In Italy there is a new law since 2017 called Rosatellum. It basically allows the biggest minority party (if there is no clear nummerical majority) to run the government as if it had won the majority.

As an Italian, I agree with you @Luis.

@michelebucci3629 Berlusconi is 86 years old and can afford premium private healthcare. That's why he's still alive.

Alone in what? Returning to its fascist roots? The US is still pretty fascist when it comes to foreign interventions.
1
Italy has made no progress with centrist governments, like so many other countries, which is why the people get nostalic for fascism every couple of decades.

True words from you, @Doug.
1
Then you're not listening to her own words. She's given multiple interview and speechen in italian, spanish, french and even english where she talks about herself and her party carrying on his legacy.

Taxation for middle class and poor working class people is even worse: If you earn 2600€ in a month, you're left with about 800€ after taxes.
1
@seafoam6119 It's really not, though. Words have a meaning and clear definition. It doesn't matter if mainstream media calls somebody out or some other media does. If the definition fits, it is true regardless.
1
"disciple of Mussolini": Meloni said so herself. If only you understood french, spanish and italian, you would know. - Sincinerely, an Italian who voted in the election yesterday

@stevep4383 @Steve : You're right. Sadly some Europeans have forgotten their past and are eager to repeat history.
1
I get what you mean, however a lot of things can go wrong in just 14 months.

Nothing is worse than chauvinistic males simping for a fascist (self-hating) female
1
Nobody is "rejecting her win" and congratulating opponents is not mandatory in Italy, because that would literally be authoritarian. What is wrong with you, lol?
1
Lmfao, yeah, while telling reporters that she wants to follow in Mussolini's footsteps. Why are (neo-)fascists always in denial about their heroes and leaders being (neo-)fascists?
1
@badmonkey2222 (Italians) don't use spanish grammar when speaking italian. It's "il Duce" (Mussolini) and now unfortunately "la Duce", because she is female and italian is a gendered language.
1
And just about 100 years ago politically.
1
In Italy there is no far-left. The political spectrum goes from center left to the far right (neo-fascism)
1
Fascism isn't "nuance", it's a death cult much like MAGA.
1
That's what premium private healthcare can do for a millionaire in cash, maybe even billionaire in assets.
1
Yeah, because Nazism worked so well the last time you guys tried. xD
1
I wouldn't worry about that too much, because I don't think viagra is doing the job anymore. Berlusconi is 86 years old and has had a couple of heart attacks in the past 4 years. The s€xual excitement might literally put him 6 feet under.
1
Weak paople like you, @EPL, always need a strong daddy or mommy to rule over and dominate them. That is the essence of fascism / n@zism
1
Dying your (or rather his) hair does real wonders ;)

He's also had a couple of heart attacks in the past couple of years, but thanks to his costly private health care he is up and running (at 86 years this is running speed) again.
