  5. You misunderstand what is going on. The science and research that the corporations depend on is done by universities and publicly funded by our taxes. What corporations do is patent public research and sell it back to us, therefore having none of the costs of doing research and development themselves. Private corporations are a scam and don't help inoovate anything.
