People are struggling outside of the US as well, even in Europe. Housing is still not a right in any other country, except in Finland (but only for Finnish citizens, obviously).

It's too late for that. Both civilians (innocents and criminals) and police /military have gigantic arsenals of weapons and neither are willing to give anything up.

@btonemajor2703 You're blinded by fairy tales, @BTone. Even if there weren't any guns, people would still commit crimes. The problem of school shootings are the guns, but poverty doesn't solve itself by taking people's guns. The root source of all crimes is the poverty itself (lack of food, shelter, water, electricity, education etc.).

@btonemajor2703 @BTone Major "a clean, clear and safe society": Again, all fairy tale, no studies or facts to back up your claims. The root cause of crime is the poverty, not the guns. Criminals don't just shoot at targets for the fun of it. The ultimate goal of them is to steal something they don't have, e.g. cash or other material goods.

@btonemajor2703 1. Prove your claims. Which country has completely eliminated crime by banning guns? You do realize that cops and military everywhere still have guns, right? 2. Your second paragraph is completely irrelevant. As I've said before: Banning guns will make school shootings a lot harder, but it still doesn't solve crime and poverty.
