  4.  @Steve_Hayden  Read YOUR OWN second paragraph again. Then you'll understand what I'm responding to with my "two different things" that are actually not two different things. Neither socialism nor communism is authoritarian. They are by definition libertarian movements in order to free workers from their corporate managers, CEOs and what not. The Sowjet Union was neither, because they were structured like a republic, with representatives (albeit not elected ones). Also all of the other countries that are usually mentioned in such a discussion, such as Russia, Chine, North Korea, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil etc. aren't communist either.
