I always like to think in Seagal's mind he's like that South Park episode when the kids got that ninja weapons and pretended like they were masters martial artists but yet really it's playing out stupidly childish and Butters having that ninja star stuck in eyes.

If you think about it, even though the people ran a criminal enterprise, at the end of the day they had nothing to do with Seagal until Seagal decided to steal their money. At that point, it would make sense, despite that they probably got the money illegally, that they would try to retrieve it. Therefore, morally speaking, Seagal caused more death and mayhem all due to his own actions by stealing the money. Had he not done that, the entire movie would not exist and everyone would continue on as they were.

I never really got the whole detective roles in a Seagal film. They're always like going in and figuring out how awesome and heroic Seagal is and always go through his crime scenes talking about how precise and awesome Seagal is but then by the end of the film, they're usually some cannon fodder that ends up coming over to help Seagal instead of arresting him for all the innocent people he beat up and killed and on top of that caused multiple deaths with some elaborate backstabbing scheme where Seagal double crosses all the criminals despite them having tried killing him repeatedly earlier.

@DOPSTARZzz yeah that entire bit was hilarious. They had his signature waddle gun move down. I recall a parody where they used that film of him walking out an interview as a fake reaction to him seeing that episode.
