  2. ⁠ @unkon129 you should read up on his life story. It seems like going from one wife to the next is really his thing. And not by dumping one and finding a new one but rather overlapping.

  3. I think the relationship was meant to be platonic with the woman in the apartment. From what I can gather in the movie, he's keeping her around to help her out with her career as a rookie cop. Again, it makes no sense that she would act that way and the fact that he thinks a female roommate would behave that way makes it very silly. In many movies with him, he has a weird idea about women: they fall in love at strip clubs, women in bathroom making out, etc all very strange way. I think if anything it shows him as an abuser and it would pain me to think how he treats his wife or children in his home.

  4.  @bink  as I said it’s a very weak explanation. The movie kept his wife and children hidden until the end and throughout the movie you’re assuming a relationship will occur with the girl in his apartment. It’s Seagal!

  5. Seagal has weird relationships in his movies. They're all platonic but questionable at best because no normal woman would ever do such a thing. The "girlfriend" at his apartment or whatever isn't really his girlfriend, but some roommate/partner that he's trying to help. It makes no sense as I said but that's what I got while watching the film.
