Who buys a $8 million dollars house and don't have any sort of alarm, security cameras, or anything? I mean I own a cheap ass $180k house and would immediately know if someone is in it with cameras and alarms.

Yeah very unusual. I don't think all the kids knew they were breaking into a home. I think someone who knew the family and knew they didn't have any sort of alarm or camera systems in place. Very unusual for someone who owns a $8 million dollars home.

@Vgp-rp4iu I’m think there’s a scam involved. Just so unusual that a multi million dollar home and no security system whatsoever.

I don't know. When I was a teenager and a friend said, "Hey there's a party with blah at his house." I would show up but I be mighty suspicious about the size and scope of the party given that anyone can go anywhere. It's like straight out of a movie scene where you got this huge house party but reality is there's no way some of your stuff ends up missing.

There's a good chance that a majority of the kids involved are innocent or at least not in the house with the intent to break in. There's a good chance someone just said there's a party and people just showed up. I also think mob mentality goes into play. You see your friends there, and they're relaxed so you're relaxed and since there's no one there against it, you just roll with it.

Either way I feel more strongly against the home owner in this situation. Who in the world owns a $8 million dollar mansion with no alarm, no security system, no camera, nothing. Just a open home that's up for grabs. I'm guessing the owner's children or some such is friends with one of the party goers and he found out the home had no alarm system or anything so he just decided to throw this party when they said they will be out for a long duration.
