  1.  @keithhowell4138  the car was still operational and considered a deadly weapon while it is in motion. Plus, even in states like CA, they have a pretty strong castle doctrine and it is nearly impossible to successfully convict someone defending themselves within the space of their own property. I haven't heard of a single state where someone defending himself while on his property and got convicted. If you have any source or proof, I'd be more than happy to hear.

  3.  @fritzmiller9792  duty to retreat applies to situations outside of your home. Castle doctrine overrides most duty to retreat clauses as your home is considered where you would be the safest.
