I think this is a poor way to look at it. In countries where mandatory voting takes place, a lot of people actually go vote but don't actually vote for whoever is on the ballot. I think a lot of Americans are just sick of the two party politics but don't really know what else to do other than simply not voting. I was honestly on the fence about voting this election and ALMOST didn't go but my mom wanted to go so I drove her there and she asked me to vote as well. I reluctantly did so and almost just did a write in for no one, but decided literally last minute to vote for Trump since he seemed to be the better of the two but not by much.

Why is it "us" vs "them" kind of mentality? That's part of the reason I think Trump won because people are starting to get tired of the whole agenda thing where nothing is based on common sense anymore. Kamala's entire speech was about how there is an "America" and then somehow there are people in America who aren't American - as in people who somehow decided not to vote for her. Perhaps she should look back and think maybe it's something to do with the disaster of the last 4 years and the fact she didn't really say anything about what she's going to do differently?
