@michaelangst6078 The problem with modern family is that things are quite expensive. I think regardless both the man and woman will need to work in the relationship to some degree. I think as a guy, you want to be the main supporter but I think as a woman, it's not a bad idea to at least roll in some additional income. It doesn't have to be double the income but at least to some degree adding additional money each month will provide a good comfort spot.

In a good relationship, you don't need a ton of money to live out a pretty good lifestyle. It would be ideal if a man made six figures and a woman made six figures and they both live at the same house. But I think reality, if a guy makes slightly above the area's average and the woman makes slightly near or below the average for the area, they would find themselves in a pretty good position to enjoy things without being too lavish and living out comfortably. I think guys in their 40s would figure that out because he would think, "You know I make good money, I can provide for a partner and at the same time if she helped out just a little I'd be pretty happy with it."

Again... online dating.... and wondering why it is so bad. I think nearly 90% of their problems would drop if they stopped going online for dates. Of course both male and female will be selective when they are presented multiple choices. She probably passed on multiple good choices in her same age range, and vice versa, probably a ton of guys she likes will pass her over for someone younger. I don't think a good man, especially in his late 30s, 40s, and beyond are going online when they are still prime to go out. I think the extreme when you start to get into retirement age that's when you might need to go online since a lot of folks at that age range just aren't going out that often and it's harder to meet in public places.
