@akumamakima2280 Raygun got 0s in all three of her attempts at the Olympics. Several of the semifinalist lost 3 to 0. So a lot of 0s went around not just Raygun.

To be fair, a lot of other competitors also got 0s. I think the base problem is that they're not defining what they're looking for like in the other events. Like in Skateboard, you have to perform certain tricks and they judge that based on not only you performing it but also how you're able to "flow" through the whole thing. I think they really need to do that with breakdancing and it would make it more obvious if they're selecting her through some sort of favorism over the others.

@ninahenry3355 I wonder how many students presentation she gave a failing grade to? That would be the real injustice here especially if she criticized them for not being artistic enough.

After watching Raygun's performance at the Olymics, I can see why a lot of people are questioning how she managed to get selected and got to go. However, in her defense, I don't think the olympics really set it up like the other performances. A good example might be like skateboard where you have to perform a certain number of tricks to continue. In that sense, I think Australia selecting Raygun is probably based on good intentions but it's clear she was not at the same level as everyone else at the same event. However the olympics will make it clearer on what they're expecting from the event like maybe they could base on how they perform headstands, or one arm holds, etc and how it flows with the rest of the dance.

@rakshify Sorry but I think you're confused by my response. I wasn't defending her. She was horrible but all I'm saying is given that there's no specifics in the olympics, it made sense they didn't know who to pick. I think a lot better breakdancers got passed simply because they couldn't see the talent. Imagine if grandpa watched breakdancing videos and he'd probably think his grandson is the best there is.

@danieltan2270 yeah it reminded me of that king of the hill episode where Bobby became that clown and his teacher was this college professor who had some idea of what a clown was like but no one thought it was funny or even got the “jokes.”
