  1. I think the problem with Asian culture as a whole is that they put priority towards male first borns. With that said, the number of men to women puts men at a disadvantage. With that said, it puts men as a cookie cutter profile as far as who can get married. It takes a good family background and it takes a more solid man with a good job and career to really be presentable enough to get married. So I think in a way, finding a unmarried man is not as much as a taboo in Asian culture but I think it's bad news if you are a man who would like to get married because I think your peers are also looking to get married and instead of finding support you'd just find that many are busying trying to get married themselves.

  2. As a half Korean in the USA, I think I find it rather interesting seeing Korean-born women vs American-born women. In Korea, you have to be from a very specific family and background to get married as a man but women generally don't have to worry. Seeing American born women from a Korean family I think a lot of them see the cookie cutter profile women has to follow in Korea and feel like they don't want to just be a wife and have children. Either way, as a guy, I find it very difficult to appeal to either types.
