  1. I went to two of them myself when I was in my 20s. It’s brutal. I’m hard of hearing and don’t have the appearance of a normal man. So when I went all of the women I went up to left. Didn’t say hi or anything and one lady I remembered dropped something of hers and didn’t even picked it up to run off to the next table. It got to a point where the event coordinator told me in a nice way that maybe it’s not for me and I left. It was very bad experience. As a non typical man it was hard but it sounds like for a typical man it is very difficult as well.
