Everyone is obsessed with the Roman "red blob" and nobody seems to care about one of the single most influential ethnicities in the history of mankind, as if Rome had sprung out of nothing. And the worst of this is that they are by far more developed and documented communities than peoples that are constantly/overly represented in pop-culture instead. If someone doesn't know Italic history they quite can't comprehend much about Rome and I can see why this was all canceled: the Indo-European core. Videos like this should be showed in every school

  6. One extraordinary thing about this channel that I'm not sure whether the followers fully grasp is how deeply and truly European such work is. If you search on youtube for European history you would get it all fragmented as if the various countries were little shells on their own that you should admire for some touristic reason but playing on the categorical separation from one another. Schwerpunkt not just has an impressive knowledge about the Old Continent but he's incredibly well versed on the UNITARY concept of European identity and culture, even in the differences. If one doesn't grasp this and comes to this channel just to focus within certain times and spaces they have not really understood what Schwerpunkt is about. Pure gold here

  13. The most important thing to understand about Schwerpunkt is that a channel is made for people with a culture. I have been following the channel for years and have observed many people going against the mere concept of quality and crashing disastrously on the rock of Schwerpunkt. His videos shouldn't be "watched", they should be carefully studied with notes and above all having learned all the others first. He's a PhD in history: he's not impressed if a person who comes here thinking they have an idea contrasts with his, he's very beyond these issues. Actually, legitimately, he has learned to give a damn completely because he has better things to do. This boy has mastered Clausewitzian theory, written and published thousands of pages, spends his life studying, traveling and learning and has a strong sense of order, discipline and control. He is in charge here and it is illusory to try to place oneself above his expertise. The only way to interact with this channel is to become regimented in obedience to authority, hierarchy and order and to abandon any illusions of understanding anything Schwerpunkt has to offer without doing a huge intellectual work, which in most cases will not even be sufficient. It is a channel for the elites: the others can stay out.
