Avoid Newport and all of Lincoln county. I was arrested at my hotel room as a tourist and charged with a felony. Awful city. Horrible people there.

@mengmania according to the clerks at the jail and at the courthouse, and according to everyone in the jail, and according to my attorney, they do indeed arrest tourists for fun there, but mainly it's to bring money into the county. That case cost me about $15 thousand
