@bikerdad63 Ah right, you are correct. I still don't think it's necessarily a good idea to put term limits on representatives. If people could do a better job then they could probably get enough support to beat an incumbent, if all the reps are so unpopular as to create a "joke" of a senate, to quote Joseph Petrie. If the reps are THAT bad and THAT unpopular, then surely somebody could come in and get more votes. If the reps are voted back in, that shows the voters like them more than any challenger.

@bikerdad63 Oh but I do agree with your last point, the reps should NOT be allowed to be investing while they're in office, same as the president. Obvious insider trading crap ruining our country

@McClane4Ever. Well in that case, imposing term limits won't do anything except change the face of those corrupt individuals from time to time. No little guy would stand a chance against that machine, they'll just replace one with another every 4 years

@McClane4Ever. I don't see how it would cost them more. If they had to get a new guy every two years, it would probably save the corporations a TON of money. Imagine how much they're paying a somebody like Mitch McConnell. Generally people make MORE the longer they work for a corporation. So term limits is a great idea if you want to save the corporate overlords a bunch of money. I wonder why they never thought of that

@norabeldo19 If the officials are "clected" by which I think you mean selected rather than elected, then voting is a waste of time and you shouldn't bother with it ever again. Voting in a clearly rigged system is just perpetuating that system
