so, he got pulled over and refused to roll down the window? That's why he was detained. AND he brings race into it...... Yep. classic.

reckless driving
1
@savagesociety85 he's required to do whatever the police tell him to do.
1
lot of these people will have guns on them and be fairly dangerous, so yeah, officer safety is important. Certain demographics apparently do not like the police
1
@MickeyDC-om3pv I've been tossed lots of times, and been arrested four times. I'll take the police over meth dealers and armed street gangs any day. Good luck with those smash and grabs
1
he probably refused to identify himself after being lawfully commanded to do so
1
reckless driving is not a bogus ticket
1
lawful command to roll down the window and identify oneself
1
@yz450293 if you get pulled over, you are required to do as the officer commands. If he asks you to step out of the vehicle, you step out of the vehicle. I don't know about the 72 year old court case you're referring to, but that was 72 years ago, so I don't see how it's relevant in this era of criminality we're living in.
1
@yz450293 you asked me "what's the officers graham factors gonna be". I have no idea what that means. Maybe english is new to you
1
so, you don't mind people recklessly driving in your town?
1
@savagesociety85 well yeah, emergency vehicles can run stopsigns. That is not breaking a law.
1
@savagesociety85 well I agree that police and other emergency vehicles should obey all traffic laws when not engaged in a specific emergency which would warrant actions like running stopsigns; and that is what I observe in my area at least. Cops are people too and the guy above made a good point, it just takes a high school GED and some training to get that badge....

reckless driving
1
no, it is not wrong. lawful command.
1
@statwizard sorry, I don't know what IA is.
1
they will force you out of your car if you don't roll your window down and identify yourself, that is correct. You don't have to record anything, they're recording everything.
1
@US2A you say that, but they'd be the first ones you'd call if your neighbors robbed you
1
@US2A also you don't have to trust them, that's why we have bodycams, the footage of which is publicly accessible by law
1
@US2A I'm not worried about being abused by the police. Been arrested 4 times, used to have lots of encounters with cops when I was much younger. My recommendation is, do what they tell you to do.
1
@US2A what dead guy?
1
@US2A good luck explaining that to the cops, as they drag you out of the car. We'll watch it on youtube
1
@US2A no, it's not illegal for a cop to tell you to roll down the window
1
@US2A what law says that you have the right to keep your window rolled up when a cop tells you to roll it down?
1
@US2A I'm not a dummy like you. If a cop pulled me over for driving nearly twice the speed limit, and tells me to roll the window down, I'm rolling the window down.
1
@US2A we're seeing more of these incidents in recent years because cops now have to wear bodycams.
1
@US2A that avatar of yours is totally appropriate. Good choice, it looks just like your family
1
@US2A you must be a dummy
1
@US2A good luck explaining all this to an officer as he clamps the handcuffs on
1
@US2A my other replies to you got deleted. You can have your opinion, but I'm not allowed to express mine
1
@US2A what law says you have to pull over when an officer pulls you over?
1
@US2A I am definitely not a cop. I've been arrested 4 times and come very close to getting arrested on several other occasions, all many years ago. Why would a cop pretend to have a criminal record?
1
@US2A oh? what issues would you say I have? you must be a professional psychologist. Or were you just trying to insult me
1
@US2A I must be a keep? what's a keep?
1
@US2A if you want to know, I work as an archaeologist. you could have just asked
1
enforcing the law is not racist
1
that's a different dude.
