Africa needs federalism with a bicameral legislature that has one half give power based on population, while the other gives more influence to smaller parties. Concentrating power into a few tribes and ethnic groups leads to conflict. Splitting Africa into tiny nations hurts trade as currency exchange issues and a lack pooled money for infrastructure.

It is strange that you could live your entire life in Libya and not consider yourself Libyan. I don't understand old world thinking.

@A.Severan Berbers, Misrata, Circassians, and various ethnic groups with ties to Chad all have their own militias fighting for their own interests. In addition, tribalism between city and regional militias is out of control, where they are fighting for power and wealth for "their people" instead of any kind of ideological goal.

@A.Severan Maybe you need to brush up on your English as tribalism doesn't mean literally "tribes" in most cases. In the West, it is mostly a reference to partisanship.
