  7.  @barmybarmecide5390  The US only became anti-free trade in 2016, so they stop insisting the EU agree to a deal. For the decades prior, it was the EU protectionism that prevented a deal. There are other protectionist besides France, but they are certainly the loudest. Also, Macron asking Biden for special treatment is embarrassingly hypocritical.
