I worked at a large retailer with a union and it's driving the business into the ground. The union says you can't reward or punish employees for productivity or efficiency, so shelves stay empty. People say they care about workers, but consumers keep going to our non-union competitors who keep their shelves stocked because they fire non productive workers.

Comments like this explain why American manufacturing is dead. Americans keep asking for more money while working less.

Tax write off? These billionaire space companies aren't remotely profitable and just burn away the billionaire's wealth from their more successful ventures. It would be fair to call it a vanity project, but it makes no sense to claim they do it for financial reasons.

@prtdiva I can't say, but it is the only nationwide grocery store with a union. All the other union stores ran out of business.

@rajeevarts398 That doesn't make sense. As soon as he sold his Amazon stock to fund his space project, he paid capital gains tax that he otherwise would have avoided just by holding onto his stock. If this was intended as tax evasion, then his accountant should be fired.
