After the last bait and switch, Russia has decided to fortify everywhere. They are even building defensive lines along the southern Crimea coastline - which is ridiculous as Ukraine doesn't even have a navy.

@alexisjuillard4816 You can fortify everywhere, but the quality overall lessens, and the result is resources wasted as defenses aren't concentrated where they are actually needed. For example, every man digging a trench in Southern Crimea is a man who could be digging a secondary trench in an actual avenue of attack. My main point is that Russia is now afraid to concentrate their defenses anywhere after being tricked last time. This too is a poor strategy.

Russia did a pretty orderly retreat as Kherson was very Russia's few professional soldiers were left. Ukraine even admitted to have greater causalities than the Russians in the offensive. There is plenty of real Russian incompetence, so I'm not sure why you making false stories of Russian incompetence.

@alexisjuillard4816 By treaty, Turkey will stop the delivery of any navel equipment into the Black Sea. Also, NATO isn't going to waste resources building a Ukraine navy when Ukraine's advantages belong to their land forces. Even if supplying a giant amphibious force was possible, it would take time to build up, and it would be impossible to keep hidden. That means the Russians could build up those defenses later instead of when they should be using those resources up north with a Ukraine counter offensive around the corner.
