  2.  @Hegde-  I assume you are just trolling, because it is difficult to believe one is this clueless. National security is more than protecting the homeland which America will always have enough weapons on hand to do. However, America military doctrine is to be prepared for multiple conflicts at once. That means America is supposed to have enough resources to protect Korea from an invasion, while still having the firepower to stop Iran from cutting of the Strait of Hormuz. Unfortunately, the attrition rate of weapons sent Ukraine is putting jeopardy America's ability to fight multiple conflicts.

The EU has mostly done that themselves with the exception of Hungary and non-NATO Austria. Attack NATO? Russia is barely able to handle Ukraine with old cold war stockpiles. Nuclear weapons? China/India would cut off Russia's final lifeline.

  26. ​ @worldofdoom995  The government is very aware of the many factions. The average person doesn't have the attention span to look at the complexity or shades of grey in conflicts. For example, the only time there was persistent coverage in Syria was when ISIS was involved, because they were so cartoonishly evil compared to the other waring factions. The isolationist are also willfully ignorant as these conflicts could spill over and destabilize the world. Look at the people who want to leave Haiti to collapse, but then get upset when Haitian refugees arrive in their town.

However, they continue to send weapons anyone because a victorious Russia is a even bigger national security threat.

  34.  @johnmeyers6703  Tarrifs and other trade barriers hurt consumers overall. That is why trade barriers for economic purposes are foolish while trade barriers for national security are sensible. An example would be Chinese steel. It is the cheapest stuff on the market, so it can make American construction more cost efficient. On the other end, US tank producers should only buy American made steel even though it will cost more because that cost is worth paying to keep Chinese influence out of weapons production.
