@mrhitisnumberone Putin did want to do it from the start, but his military failed. Russia doesn't have the troop numbers to occupy the country. Ukraine only needs to hold out long enough for the Russian people to start to learn about how thousands of Russian soldiers becoming cadavers and amputees. Even the Soviet Union couldn't keep casualties a secret forever.

@kingtiger5040 *Anti-air technology was much more capable to knock down US fighters in the 90s, than the currect models are at shooting down our fleets of stealth aircraft. *In 1991, 10% of the bombs were precision strikes. In 2003, it was 90%.

Nice historical revisionism where you ignore the role of the Tejanos in the Revolution and endorse a dictatorship directly ruling from a far.
2
Even with the conflicts in Ukraine, Africa, and the Middle East, this has been the most peaceful time in world history. America's overwhelming military power has scared off most nations from using their military outside their borders like Saddam did in 1991.
2
@tastymochalatte7699 Because Afghanistan is full of oil? That is even a stupid argument for Iraq whose sells very little oil to the US and US oil gaints have very little involvement compared to European and Asian oil companies. There also isn't enough oil production in Iraq to ever make up for the $trillion+ spent by American taxpayers to build Iraq's institutions and infrastructure.

@BaconGold790 The difficulty is that there are ways into a closed system. Hackers not look to introduce viruses into the systems of less secure contractors. If that doesn't work, then go after the contractors' contractors. Just look what Stuxnet did to a closed system.

Maduro is equating his conservative opposition's electoral victory to Trump's fabricated claims of electoral victory. Further evidence that Trump's election fraud lies is just giving fuel to autocratics.

Politicians care about American jobs. Shareholders do not. If manufacturers can make money through licensing or building in foreign countries, then they will. However, congressmen will protect the weapon factories in their district from loosing to foreign suppliers.

2
@mike7652 Why do people think using the word "literally" gives their hyperbole more credibility?
2
I imagine a lot of those NK artillery shells will be more dangerous for Russian gunners than for the Ukrainians. It's not like NK is known for quality maintenance.
2
@RHCole I'm always happy when the cloning machine works properly. Otherwise, we get defective clones like Michael from V-sause or Binging with Babish.

Today's North Korean generals, who have never fought in a war in their life, where their granddad's war medals like they are their own. North Korea takes the idea of stolen valor to another level.
