@TouqasBonquishes “When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One,” - Trump, August 2024 What day are we on as prices go up?
2
@Hegde- Your Ukraine comment doesn't even make sense. The weapons sent to Ukraine are just old stockpiles and the defense industry seems incapable of scaling up to even fill up a fraction of the current demand. Like most conspiracy theories is obvious bull to anyone who has a little bit of common sense.
2
Honestly, they said the same think when the EU was suggested.
2
Macron just wants to revive the French economy with more French weapons exports. *Get the EU to build a united military where French will take a outsize influence in weapons procurement *Steal Russian weapons customers by redirecting Russian exports to the Russian domestic market.
2
You are describing offensives where American air supremacy took out air defenses, communications, and command & control, or you are pointing to scenarios where moral collapsed and they ran from their fortified positions. Neither Russian or Ukrainians have air superiority and both seem willing to fight from fortified positions. Even their retreats are just back to more fortified positions.
2
Maintenance is the struggle. America might have to allow Americans contractors in the country.
2
116,516 Americans died in WW1. In addition, without the threat from overwhelming American manpower, Germany wouldn't have unconditionally surrendered.
2
MAGA-hats will be unable to understand when Africa stops cooperating with anti-terrorism operations after Trump cuts off aid and pulls out the American military.
2
The difference is that Brazilians arrest traitors, while Americans vote for them.

The world has changed a lot over the last century. Globalization has made it where countries become very dependent on one another. Even the US and Chinese economies can't operate without the other. Also, Italians are looking for any excuse to be soft on Putin as many care more about cheap energy than democracy and human rights.

The toilet seat is interesting. The US military doesn't use Chinese parts, so mass produced toilet seats are not an option and they basically have it custom made. However, the real cost driver is labor. Due to poorly made contracts with military contractors, only the contractor could make the repair. That means they are paying an engineer to install a toilet seat at a huge hourly rate instead of getting an airforce mechanic to do it for free. It's not embezzlement. It's not clandestine weapons programs. It's just government incompetence and inefficiency.
2
Trump doesn't even know who King David is.
2
Political beliefs are closely aligned with economic and moral beliefs, so you are pointing out a discution without a difference.
2
@Ol_Hickory88 The dollar's reserve status depends on how money is stored, not how transactions are denominated. It doesn't matter if the oil is bought in yen if the less valued currency is immediately converted to dollars to buy American products and to invest in American markets. The dollar's value compared to other currencies went up since the announcement. The 1974 deal is meaningless.
2
@Ol_Hickory88 The increasing value of precious metals is due to citizens of countries like China and Russia who want to dump their domestic currencies, but capital controls won't let them get dollars. No one is trading their dollar reserves to buy anything else. If anything, more autocrats are increasing capital controls to keep their own currencies from being dumped for the dollar.

North Korea has multi-generational slave camps and factories producing sarin gas and anthrax. Saudi Arabia looks progressive by comparison.

Simon said on his other channel that he ignores lists, because he doesn't know which topic people are up voting.

@tetraxis3011 A) If Russia does capture a town of rubble, then it would be a phyrric victory as Russians lose thousands throwing light infantry against heavily fortified positions. B) How does anyone compare the slow, high-causality, Russian advance to America's one-sided decimation of Iraq forces?
2
@tetraxis3011 It has been months, and Russia still hasn't taken the town of Bakhmut. How does one compare this to American forces taking Baghdad in 6 days?
2
It depends. Forests, mountains, and cities don't have much use for tanks. For flat land (like the majority of Poland) tanks are significantly more useful and will quickly roll over none intrenched infantry.
2
Makes one wonder when the next Russia coup is coming 🤔
2
Russia only needs to scare the insurance companies to shut down the trade. That is a low bar.

Brexit is British sanctions on Britain.

The Covid crisis was the dominoes of instability that keep falling.
2
The local population of 1930s Sudetenland wanted to join Germany like modern Donbas locals want to join Russia. Is a violent invasion justified?
2
The Middle East was never at peace.
2
@Jacob-193 None of those time periods were without war. The Ottomans alone were always at war with their Muslim subjects. Blaming the jews for everything is just an antisemantic conspiracy spread by braindead racists.

Anti-radar missles can destroy SAMs from outside the range of Russian radar.
2
Trump is already bought by the Saudis, so watch him pimp the US military to Saudi Arabia's war against the Houthis.
2
US, Chinese, and every other nation is allowed in international waters. No nation has the right to exclude a nation from international waters.
2
As soon as Ukraine can fire Harpoon anti-ship missles from F-16s, the sooner Ukraine can sink the Russian black sea fleet. A destroyed Russian Navy can no longer fire missiles at civilian targets and blockade grain shipments to poor African nations.
2
@MJ2A Based on all your comments, I'm unsurprised that you are the expert of the world's least favorite painter.

Russian trolls: blah, blah, blah, WMD, blah, blah, blah Anything to distract the fact Russia is going into year two of their "3 day special military operation."

It worked for the Mongols.
2
@zacretzer There is a big difference. Hitler went to jail, while America's fascist leader was allowed to live in a golf resort in Florida.
2
@rufusshinra9124 Saddam wasn't democratically elected, so his legitimacy is based only on his ability to brutalize anyone who opposed him. America left Iraq after their democratically elected parliament voted for the troops to leave and the troops only came back after Iraq begged the US to rescue them from ISIS. Meanwhile, Ukraine is a sovereign democracy that chooses its leaders in free and fair elections.
2
@mockingbbirdkilla1771 What advantage would nukes in Ukraine give that a fleet of undetectable nuclear subs, a flock of stealth bomber, ICBM not already guarantee?
2
@ZeSgtSchultz Maybe you shouldn't be inviting the landlord to kill his dog and steal his stuff?
2
@JamesxKo The millions of Chinese soldiers pushed UN forces south. Not Truman.
2
@emoney6191 Appeal to tradition is a claim in which a thesis is deemed correct on the basis of correlation with past or present tradition. The appeal takes the form of "this is right because we've always done it this way" and is a logical fallacy.
2
@tenanaciouz It was a failed fascist coup attempt.
2
I feel like no one talks enough about the logistically nightmare it must be to supply a carrier fleet so far from America's shores.
1
It's not unrelated. Covid brought stimulus spending. Stimulus spending brought inflation. Inflation brought high interest rates. High interest rates brought economic insecurity. Economic insecurity brought war.
