(There are a lot of things America has to be embarrassed about until the end of the Cold War.) Now the intervention would be multi national and humanitarian.

That doesn't mean every ex-soldier or police officer who becomes a mercenary is a agent of the US--unless you are just a loony conspiracy theorist. Also, the chaos and refugee crisis from this assassination is against American interests.

  14. Just because someone is elected doesn't mean the country has fair elections and that president doesn't use non-constitutional powers for his own benefit. Just look at Venezuela and Russia.
