Easier said in done. NATO is designed around America filling logistical and intelligence support. Just look at when Britain couldn't refuel their ships without the US in the Falkland war or how American ships had to destroy Libyan air defenses before Britain and France could enforce a no fly zone.

@bsmithhammer America has always encouraged NATO members to avoid spending money on logistical assets such as troop transports, refuelers, and massive cargo planes. They encouraged this to avoid redundancies with American spending and because it created a dependence on American logistics that has robbed Europe of strategic autonomy.

The expectation is that NATO allies spend 2% of GDP on additional equipment like tanks, armored personnel carriers, and jets to supplement the American military. This dependency has left most European nations incapable of operating far from their border without American support. This has been in America's strategic interests because it means it gives America near veto power on European military adventurerism.

Trump has already invited Putin to invade. All Trump has to do is obstruct Congress from forcing him to take action. The longer it takes, the more his territory his BFF Putin takes.
