*Russian anti-air defenses shoot down drones and missles, then attach anti-radar missles to an F-16 *Russia uses the Black Sea Fleet to shoot missles at civilian targets, then attach anti-ship missles to the F-16 *Russia hides their commanders in bunkers outside the range of HIMARS, then attach longer-range bunker-busting missles to the F-16. NATO's solution to everything is to attach a weapon system to a jet, so the F-16 will give Ukraine a lot of options and force Russia to make some tough choices.

*Javelin pushed Russia from Keiv *HIMARs pushed Russia from Kherson and Kharkiv *Leopards and Bradley's will push Russia from Zaporizhzhia *F-16s will push Russia from Crimea

@aleksazarin319 Continue you pretend that Russia didn't retreat from Keiv, Kherson, and Kharkiv

At most, American contractors working on maintenance.

NATO's solution to everything is airpower. That means there are countless weapon systems that can be used with the F-16: *Russian anti-air defenses shoot down drones, then attach anti-radar missles to an F-16 *Russia uses the Black Sea Fleet to shoot missles at civilian targets, then attach anti-ship missles to the F-16 *Russia hides their commanders in bunkers outside the range of HIMARS, then attach longer-range bunker-busting missles to the F-16.

@marcdavis4509 Doubtful. Poland didn't even want jets to fly from it airfields just to deliver the jets to Ukraine.
2
Anti-radar missles can be fired from out of range of Russian radar.

@thekeef2187 Storm Shadow is a cruise missles designed to break through bunkers. There are non-French/British equivalents too.
2
Maintenance is the struggle. America might have to allow Americans contractors in the country.
2
Anti-radar missles can destroy SAMs from outside the range of Russian radar.
2
As soon as Ukraine can fire Harpoon anti-ship missles from F-16s, the sooner Ukraine can sink the Russian black sea fleet. A destroyed Russian Navy can no longer fire missiles at civilian targets and blockade grain shipments to poor African nations.
2
The Ukrainians are probably already building inflatable F-16s for Russia to bomb like they did with the inflatable HIMARs.

@1ndragunawan Poland had the MIGs fly from a German air base
1
@aleksazarin319 So you are going with Russia retreated from the Ukrainians who all died..... Russian trolls are getting dumber.

NATO standard weapon systems

You can attach anti-ship, anti-radar, and long range cruise missles to the F-16. This will cause problems for the Russian Navy, air defenses, logistics, and command & control. Combined arms training isn't realistic for the F-16 or A-10 in a reasonable time frame. Plus, Russian aren't insurgents, so they can just use MANPADs to shoot down the A-10.

If they can't be combined with modern weapons platforms, then their use is limited.

There are not enough Gripens to make them worth talking about.

It less about the F-16 and more about the NATO standard weapon systems you can attach to them. For example, there are anti-ship missles that can hit any ship in the Black Sea from the Ukrainian coast.
1
A10 is only good against insurgents as they are super vulnerable to MANPADS.
1
F-16 will cause problems for Russia. The Black Sea Fleet will be vulnerable to anti-ship missles, Russian air defenses will be vulnerable to anti-radar missles, and Russian command will be vulnerable to long-range bunker busters. It won't win the war, but the F-16 will force Russia to pick from some very bad options.
1
@bigmatthews666 The Russians won't even fly over Ukraine anymore.
1
NATO standard anti-radar missles can fire out of Russian radar range. That means the Russians have to choose between keeping the radar on and risk a missles strike on the radar, or turn it off and risk not detecting Ukrainian jets, drones, and missles. This will greatly reduce the effectiveness of Russian air defenses.
1
That Mexican Javelin photo has been debunked. Open source army field manuals show that the black stripes on the Javelin tube mark it as a training model that is unable to fire missles.
1
@DollarGeneral_Is_a_Plague Ukraine has more equipment than when they started the war, while Russia has significantly less. Ukraine limitations to mobilization is only that they don't want troops that aren't yet trained or equipped. Ukraine's army will continue to grow in size and firepower as the war progresses. Meanwhile, Putin seems scared of a public backlash to call for another mobilization. The only way Ukraine loses is if the West stops sending weapons and supplies.
1
@DollarGeneral_Is_a_Plague Peace will only be made when Russia leaves. Even without Western aid, Ukraine would be fighting and they would switch to an insurgency if they have to. At least with Western support, Ukraine can push Russian out of their territory before Russia can kidnap more children and massacre more civilians.

Longer range cruise missles will also be a headache for logistics and command & control.
1
@chriswoodend2036 They are literally designed against Russian radar.

It is funny Russia hasn't been able to produce any evidence it had destroyed a single patriot missle platform.

@johnd.8224 It takes years to make these planes in significant quantities. Look at the biggest suppliers: Sweden needs their Gripens because they haven't joined NATO. Hungary and Brazil are pro-Putin. Czech Republic only has 14 jets.
