  1. American publicly listed companies tend to outperform the market, while the Chinese stock market has very poor performance compared to the national GDP. This is because state dominated companies dominate the Chinese stock markets and the CCP management value poltical objectives over economic growth. This poor performance doesn't encourage a lot of investment.
