@brianfox771 It is a big assumption that NATO would show restraint. One of the nuclear powers may preemptively use nukes to prevent Russia from another escalation based on game theory logic.

@Lelik_208 100% of the democratically elected members of the legislators voted to impeach the president after he ordered the the police to shoot protestors. Only Russia would think the state sponsored murdered of citizens is not an impeachable offense.

Let's say for arguments sake that 99% of Russia's 6000 nuclear weapons would fail. That still leaves 60 nuclear strikes which is 60 too many.

Even if Putin is willing to throw away the lives of himself and his family over Ukraine, what is the likelihood his generals are willing to let Russia turn into a nuclear wasteland over a Ukrainian shipment of weapons?
