@AO00720 It is less if an issue of race and more of an issue that concentrating poverty in one place causes more crime and had less job opportunities. The Soviet Union didn't have the same issue, because everyone was poor and limited job opportunities.

Your thinking is outdated. While teenagers were almost exclusively the market for video games 20 years ago, most of those same teenagers haven't quite playing even when they enter adulthood or have kids.

To me, it seems most politicians don't want affordable housing. The interests aligned with property developers and boomers who want their estate value to go up. Of course, new buyers and poor families suffer.
