Not really. The Chinese Communist Party believes that authoritarianism is the best form of government, and they wish to keep that system in place into the long-term. Trump only believes that Trump is the best form of government, and checks-and-balances just delute more Trump. While the consequences will be long-term, Trump goals only go as far as to serve himself and those who share his last name (not people, but extensions of himself).
