@jeffedwards7960 McConnell is the one who turned Obama into a lame duck. In addition, almost every accomplishment that Trump takes credit for was orchestrated by McConnell because Trump was too lazy to put in the work in himself. Nancy Pelosi is the only one that I would consider his equal.

@jeffedwards7960 Not really. Trump fed off of xenophobia in 2016 that was under the surface but never really acknowledged. Hating Mexicans and Chinese didn't really have much to do with Obama. In 2024, Trump tapped into the same prejudices while adding a hate of women and trans to his coalition.
