Reread the Constitution. It is freedom OF religion. Forcing people to forsake their religion is as oppressive as forcing religion on people. Here is the difference. In America, the state can't force a religion on you, but it can't deny your right to wear to school a rosary, yamaka, or a hijab to school because you have freedom OF religion. Meanwhile, France bans all religious symbols from school because they have freedom FROM religion. This force people to forsake their religious tenants when even if it doesn't impact anyone else.

@miguelEguzman Freedom FROM religion implies banning religion from secular society instead of neutrality of freedom OF religion. The wording OF vs FROM in constitutions across the world has very different impacts. Refer to my America vs. France example from earlier.

@miguelEguzman You are forsaking the common (& obvious) interpretation that legal and philosophical have been discussing for over a century for your own misinterpretation, which is an insult to both grammer and history.

@buddyman1990 I'm atheist. I just don't believe in the extremes of Christian Nationalists forcing the Bible into schools or the clowns on the other side who have a meltdown if Santa is mentioned in school.

@miguelEguzman Just do a basic Google search. I'm not going to explain the entirety of a long topic. I will also not explain the complexities of the American Civil War, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
