  1. It is more about the left wanting a monopoly of power in the government's hands (their hands). The socialist with American and Chinese characteristics want further control of tech companies to help them censor speech they don't like.

  2.  @foobarbazbaa5598  This doesn't really apply to China where they only crack down on non-state owned companies. It is the opposite of being anti-monolopy.
