Ukraine aid donations are using BS accounting. For example, many countries are using the replacement cost of the sent hardware as the value of their aid. This is like me gifting my 10-year-old truck to my son, buying myself a brand new truck, and then declaring that I gifted a truck valued at my new purchase.

@atg2186 America actually spends a ton on maintaince to keep its stockpiles battle-ready, unlike its European counterparts. There is a reason that America is able to send equipment from its stockpiles across the ocean to Ukraine faster than European countries can send them down the road. They don't need to waste time like Europeans to get their equipment in working order. If anything, sending old equipment will reduce the cost of maintenance and the cost of decommissioning retired equipment. Of course, you won't see this in the accounting either.

@GonzoTehGreat You are arguing with someone who thinks "Debit" and Credit" in accounting are just referring to what card you use.

R&D costs a ton and doesn't always lead to successful projects. It isn't simply manufacturing costs.

It is hysterical that Russians could think they are winning after fleeing from Keiv, Kherson, and Kharkiv. Like WW2 Germany, the Russians will pay dearly for their fascist imperialism.

Good faith? Remember how Putin said over and over how he had no plans on invading Ukraine? Russia has been lying since the beginning.

@AlexonYTHOTDOG How is my statement a lie when Putin said it over and over on Russian State Media? I know Russians are quick to dismiss facts, but are Russians now refusing to trust their own memories over state propaganda?
