  1. ​​ @Nedula007 Assad had a loyal ethnic-relgious support base who saw his power as the key to their survival. I'm sure Putin can find a small Russian population to act as it's proxies like in Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova, but wouldn't be much of a force based on Belarus' demographics.
